Play College Football – Things to Do
Times have changed when it comes to increasing your chances into getting a football scholarship. In the old days good football players didn’t have to do anything, just wait for coaches to present the scholarship offer. Players were noticed throughout the high school competitions. Coaches from various colleges were at all times present to make sure they find the real values that worth training for the colleges and then proposed further for professional teams.
But nowadays these things have taken another course. As a football player you are now in charge of showing a great deal of interest into earning a college scholarship. Here are some of the things that you need to do:
- You should start preparing your athletic profile immediately. This can be done by asking someone from your family or group of friends to film the games you are playing. This film will be further sent over to the college coaches for viewing it and decide whether or not you can be granted with a scholarship.
- Make sure that you do not stick to a single college. Have a list of more than 10 colleges to have the tape sent over to. In this way you can increase your chances of being noticed at least by one college coach.
- The task of these coaches is to start recruiting as soon as the season is in full swing. At this point you need to be all prepared to do your best while performing out there in the field. With the filming you can make the recruiting task much easier for the coaches. Also use a simple recruiting plan where you emphasize your actions and thus making their job easier by showing why you deserve being in the football college team with a scholarship.
